Two Schools Receive Cash Donations from New Burlington Store

Dunaire & Indian Creek Elementary Are Latest Examples of Company’s Education Commitment December 13, 2022 STONE MOUNTAIN, Ga. – Burlington Stores, the national off-price retailer, through its partnership with the national non-profit organization, AdoptAClassroom.org, has donated a total of $5,000 towards school supplies to Dunaire Elementary School and Indian Creek Elementary School in celebration of its new store now open in Stone Mountain at 5064 Memorial Drive. Nine DeKalb County Schools Removed from Georgia Improvement Lists

In 2019, the DeKalb County School District (DCSD) had twenty-five (25) schools identified by the Georgia Department of Education (GaDOE) as needing Comprehensive Support and Improvement (CSI) or Targeted Support and Improvement (TSI). Nine (9) of the twenty-five (25) schools identified in 2019 have been removed and are no longer state-identified, as released today by the Georgia Department of Education. Hardly a "Hidden Hero", Henrietta George Receives Statewide Recognition Henrietta George has long been a shining light at Druid Hills High School (DHHS). For more than 18 years, she has worked tirelessly—and successfully—to build competitive athletic programs at the school.
