Overview

Sample schedules are provided as a guide for local schools. Local schools may submit a modified schedule to their Regional Superintendent for approval.  All schedules must include the required LIVE session time limits, all content areas, meals, tech checks, extended learning time, and student social engagement time.

Also, Wednesdays are reserved for flexible scheduling of the following:

  • student conferences (tutoring, intervention support, or small groups)
  • parent conferences
  • Multi-tiered System of Supports (MTSS), Individualized Education Program (IEP), English Learner (EL) and 504 meetings
  • professional learning for leaders and teachers
  • instructional and collaborative planning

What Is Extended Learning Time?

As built into the virtual learning schedule, this timeframe is an opportunity for students to receive remediation and/or enrichment based upon academic and non-academic expectations. Examples include, but not limited to:

  • Elementary – Gifted, Early Intervention Program (EIP), Study Skills, English Learners (Els), and other areas as determined locally by the Principal
  • Middle – Extended learning in math and/or reading, Study Skills, and other areas as determined locally by the Principal
  • High – Credit Recovery and other areas as determined locally by the Principal
